From the library: Step into the magical world of Gond Art - a colorful and fun traditional folk style of painting from Central India. In this exciting workshop, we will explore how to create animals, trees and nature- inspired designs using bright colors, dots and patterns. Guided by Acton artist Sunanda Sahay, participants will explore their creativity while learning about a beautiful folk art tradition. no art experience needed - just imagination and a love for colors. Sunanda has learned and practices various folk and tribal artforms of different regions of India. She is known for her intricate designs and vibrant colors, which are characteristic of these art forms. Sunanda has exhibited her works at various art galleries, museums (MFA, PEM, Worcester Art, Boston Children’s, Fitchburg Art etc.) and community and educational places (Wellesley College, Pine Manor, Harvard University ).
