Songbird Banding - Guest Presenters

Join experienced bird bander, David Hauber and his wife, Fay, as they attempt to band common songbirds right here in Sizerville State Park! We will have a short introduction on bird banding followed by live demonstrations of David banding the birds right in front of us. In the event of no birds being caught, there will be a discussion on the equipment required for banding and why this is important. Closed toe shoes and long pants are recommended due to the program taking place in high grass/shrub areas. Feel free to bring a water bottle, bug spray, and binoculars!
