Spirit Trail Hike

Join us for an exciting day of outdoor exploration at Promised Land State Park! Start on Sunday, September 6, 2026, with the Spirit Trail Hike led by park naturalist "Pap" Knauss at 10:00 am. This 4.5-mile moderate hike will take you through diverse habitats and offer stunning views of the Tuscarora Lake cove, perfect for spotting late spring wildflowers. Please gather in the upper beach parking lot near the trailhead and remember to bring lunch; dogs are welcome on leashes. After the hike, enhance your knowledge at the "All About Sssnakes!" educator table, where you'll find realistic models of native snake species. Next, participate in a CCC Site Tour to discover the history of CCC Camp S-139, beginning at the CCC museum with an informative talk and culminating at the blacksmith shop.
