Kids Art Class- Pencils and Pastels

Pastels & Pencils (Ages 9+) Discover the colorful world of drawing and illustration in this specialized art class designed for students ages 9 and up! Meeting weekly on Thursdays from 5:00-5:45 PM, this class focuses on developing artistic skills through the use of oil pastels, chalk pastels, and colored pencils. Students will explore a variety of techniques unique to each medium, including blending, layering, shading, color theory, texture creation, and composition. Through guided instruction and creative projects, artists will build confidence while learning how to achieve vibrant colors, realistic details, and expressive artwork. Throughout each session, students will complete a variety of projects designed to strengthen their technical skills and artistic understanding while encouraging creativity and personal expression. This class is ideal for both beginners and students looking to further develop their drawing and pastel techniques. Session 1: Week of August 10th – Week of Octob
