Fossil Discovery and Geology Hike, McCormick's Creek State Park

(Hike) Take a trip back in time to when Indiana was an ocean floor! Learn about ancient creatures from the skeletons they left behind in the limestone. Join Naturalist Kaitlyn on a rugged hike on Trail 3. We will scrabble through rocks in the creek to learn about fossils older than dinosaurs and how the canyon was formed and altered over geological history. We begin our 0.8-mile hike in front of the Canyon Inn.
