Creative Writing

Join us for two enriching monthly events hosted by The Friends of the Parkland Community Library! First, our **Creative Writing** group invites aspiring and seasoned writers alike to explore fiction, nonfiction, and poetry under the guidance of Patrick Crerand, Director of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program at DeSales University. This group meets once a month to produce new work, practice constructive critique, and enhance creativity through original assignments. Additionally, the **Highlights Club** welcomes children ages 5-7 to engage in fun, easy crafts and seek out hidden pictures featured in Highlights magazine. Meetings take place on the second Thursday of each month, with a snack provided at the end.
