Join us for the September Second Friday: Music and Color at the Smith College Museum of Art, taking place from 4–8 p.m. Experience an evening filled with art, creativity, and community, with galleries open until 8 p.m. and free admission for all. From 4–7 p.m., participate in hands-on art making in the Boeckman Sculpture Court, where all ages are welcome to create a ripped paper collage inspired by the music that influenced artist Alma Thomas. Additionally, you can help shape the museum's next display by voting for your favorite bird-themed artworks at the Cunningham Center from 4–7 p.m. Enjoy a drop-in screening of the documentary short "Miss Alma Thomas: A Life in Color" from 5–7 p.m. in Graham Hall, and savor live jazz performances on the museum’s front porch from 5–8 p.m., in collaboration with the Northampton Jazz Festival. Don't miss this vibrant celebration of art and music!
