Preserving Your Family Records

Get ready to get organized and join us at the library for Preserving Your Family Records. This 90-minute session is designed to teach you about safe handling and organizational practices when creating your own family history collection. We will discuss proper housing and labeling, how to create a database to keep track of your collection, and how to store the various items under your care. We will also go over the reasons behind the standards, to help you make the best decisions about your collections, as every home and collection is unique. This presentation will be led by Mary Hussey, Research Archivist at the Monmouth County Archives.
