Nature Exploration: Tree Appreciation Month

Join Prospect Park Alliance for a weekend of nature exploration and community service as we celebrate Tree Appreciation Month at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, the first urban Audubon Center in the nation. On Saturdays and Sundays, participate in engaging nature education programs designed for all ages. From 10 am to 3 pm, unleash your creativity with our Leaf Art activity, where you can explore the unique features of trees and craft art inspired by their beautifully shaped leaves. Alternatively, become a Nature Detective by borrowing a sketchbook and observation guide to record your discoveries and sketch the wonders of the natural world around you. At 2 pm, immerse yourself in our Fall Leaf Discovery program, where you can learn why and when trees shed their leaves. Engage in citizen science activities as we explore the changing environment of Prospect Park and document your observations.
