Community Banner Project for America's 250th Anniversary

  Community members of all ages are invited to join the Community Banner Workshop on Friday, September 4, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Old Forge Library. The workshop will feature a special 250th anniversary-themed square for the community banner. Participants can also create a festive door hanger square to take home and display. With many kids back in school, the workshop is a great chance to gather a few friends and enjoy some creative time together. Whether they have participated all summer or are joining for the first time, everyone is welcome. The library will provide everything needed, including 10-inch fabric squares, stencils, paint, patches, ribbons, and sewing supplies. No artistic experience is needed.
