Science Saturdays

Turn "why?" into "wow!" at Science Saturday! Join us on select Saturdays from March through December for hands-on STEM activities where families explore together, conduct experiments, and tackle engineering challenges. Each session is designed to spark curiosity, encourage teamwork, and make learning an adventure everyone enjoys. This is a drop-in activity suitable for ages 5 to 12. Activities are included with regular museum admission, and free for children 5 and younger and Hagley members. May 23: Stop-Motion Commotion Learn how "moving pictures" are made and create your own stop motion video. June 6: Up, Up, and Away Make a paper airplane and hoop glider that fly far! June 27: Turbine Time Build and test your own turbine. July 11: A-MAZEing Circuits Design circuits to light up bulbs. July 25: Counting Caterpillars Conduct a field survey of insects in our pollinator
