The America 250 Quilt Hanging Project: America the Beautiful is a unique community art installation celebrating America's 250th birthday, featuring handcrafted quilt panels created by quilters nationwide, inspired by the theme “America the Beautiful.” Conceived by Christine Lush-Rodriguez of Artful Dimensions and Joan Geisler of the Virginia Star Quilters Guild, this project aims to unite communities through art, creativity, and patriotism during the nation's Semiquincentennial celebration. Alongside this, the "Quilts by the Stafford Stitchers" exhibit showcases the talented work of local quilters, while an art exhibit featuring artist Jaime Rodriguez will have its opening reception on June 4 at Towne Centre.
