7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
25th St, Brooklyn, NY, 11232
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Green-Wood is the final resting place of more than 100 people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, or from related illnesses in the years that followed. We invite you to join us for an evening of reflection, guided by music and light. Together, we will remember those interred at Green-Wood, honor all 2,977 people killed that day, and reflect on the lasting impact of September 11th on our community. We will gather on one of Green-Wood’s hills overlooking the city skyline, where we will witness the tribute lights rising above Lower Manhattan. The program will include words of remembrance, live music, and time for quiet contemplation. Beginning at sunset, music will anchor and guide us through the evening. All are welcome.
