Fishing Fin-damentals at Lake Anna State Park

Lake Anna State Park will host "Fishing Fin-damentals," a freshwater fishing workshop. Participants will be taught how to cast, tie fishing knots, and hopefully catch a fish. They will also learn different kinds of bait and tackle options. The park will provide rods, reels, rigs and bait. Participants 16 and older must have a freshwater fishing license and bring it with them to the workshop. You can purchase your license online here: dwr.virginia.gov/licenses. Registration is required. To register, call the park office at 540-854-5503. The workshop is free, but standard park admission and parking fees apply.
