Apple Festival

Join us for a weekend of autumnal festivities at our annual Apple Festival and Poe Paddy Fall Foliage Hike! Experience the charm of Shoaff's Mill, where you can watch corn being ground as it has been for nearly 200 years, while enjoying delicious homemade treats like fresh-pressed apple cider, warm apple butter, and cornbread. We’re also on the lookout for vendors and demonstrators to join this vibrant celebration—contact mewilt@pa.gov for limited vendor space details. On top of this, immerse yourself in nature with a 4-mile invigorating hike led by our park naturalist through the scenic Bald Eagle State Forest. Enjoy stunning views of the fall foliage while learning about the seasonal changes in the landscape. The moderate hike will take approximately 3 hours, so dress comfortably, wear bright colors for safety during hunting season, and bring water and a snack to enjoy along the way.
