This program will be geared toward younger children, ages 3 and older. Learn how to make maple syrup now so that you are ready to go this upcoming sugar season! The park naturalists have frozen 5 gallons of sugar maple sap from their harvest this past winter, and they will be making a small batch of syrup to wrap up the summer! Join them to learn about sugaring history and how maple syrup is made. The group will also be able to sample a small amount of park-made syrup from this past winter. This may be the only way to learn how to make maple syrup where no one needs to bring a winter coat!
