LaurelKids Event at Firehouse Subs

Following an enthusiastic response from local families throughout the summer, Laurel Shopping Center invites children and their families to the final event of its inaugural LaurelKids Summer Series, Firehouse Friends Canvas Painting, on Saturday, August 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Firehouse Subs in Laurel Shopping Center, 901 Washington Blvd., Laurel, MD 20707. Led by local Laurel artist Angie O'Neal, the family-friendly event invites children ages 4 and older to create their own firefighter-inspired canvas painting. Younger artists can choose from a collection of exclusive pre-sketched Firehouse Friends designs, while older children are welcome to paint their own original creation on a blank canvas. Every participant will receive a 5-by-7 canvas, tabletop easel, child-sized apron, paints, brushes, and all the supplies needed to complete their masterpiece.
