Scavenger Hunt Hike on Barrens Nature Trail

Hike the Barrens Nature Trail while completing a scavenger hunt and learning about the park's ecosystem. We will go at a slower pace, and the scavenger hunt is great for all ages. The Barrens Nature Trail is 1.5 miles in length. The hike will take about 1.5 hours to complete. This looped trail begins and ends at the Barrens Nature Trail parking lot. The path has mild elevation changes and uneven terrain throughout the trail. An all-terrain wheelchair is available for use and can be reserved in advance by calling the park office at 608-565-2789. Consider bringing insect repellent, water bottle, hat, and sunscreen. Please leave pets at home. There are no restrooms or drinking fountains at the trailhead.
