In this course, participants will explore a variety of mixed-media approaches to art! Mixed media can unlock a variety of textures, styles, and imaginative avenues. Applying techniques such as perspective, shading, and color theory, participants will have the opportunity to work from reference imagery as well as from life objects, capturing the beauty of the world around them while developing their artistic skills. About the Instructor With over 20 years of teaching experience, Chinedu Felix Osuchukwu is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose work spans painting, sculpture, and mixed media. An alumni of Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Corcoran College of Art and Design (BFA), and MICA (MFA), his vibrant, textured pieces explore identity, heritage, and transformation. His art has appeared in O Magazine, the Studio Museum of Harlem, and the DuSable Museum, and is held in collections including those of Peggy Cooper Cafritz and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
