Elkhart Co. Special Exhibit: “Faces of the Civil War”

Event Hosted By: Ruthmere Museum Event Time: Regular Visitor Hours Ruthmere is hosting a special traveling exhibit from the Indiana Historical Society, “Faces of the Civil War.” “Faces of the Civil War” brings to life the stories of many Hoosiers whose lives were touched—and in some cases taken—by the Civil War. Not all are well-known or loved—many would not merely follow obvious thrilling histories—but hoosiers, always civic and sometimes chivalric heroes. This exhibit features over 30 images of Hoosiers from the Civil War illustrating how regular people coped with the tragic experiences of the day—all from an Indiana perspective.
