Read to a Dog

Read to a Dog programs provide elementary-aged children with a chance to practice reading aloud and building their confidence during one-on-one reading sessions with a certified therapy dog. Bring your own book or choose one from our collection! You can read English or Spanish language book, as Kiwi is bilingual and understands both languages. We have a limited number of available time slots. Readers can sign up for a time slot up to 30 mins before the program. Each reader will have ten minutes to read one-on-one with Kiwi. This program takes place in Group Meeting Room 5. Sponsored by Pet Partners. For grades Kindergarten to 5th Grade. Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program.
