Geocaching Event

Join Geocachers “Fondue4Two” at a Community Event on Sunday, July 19. A table display will showcase typical geocaching containers while experienced cachers will be available to share information on the international hobby. The display will be available between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. The event will also include a “Geocaching 101” presentation about geocaching in the nature center at 11 a.m. Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game where participants use GPS devices (including your smart phone) to find hidden containers, called geocaches, at specific locations marked by coordinates. It's a fun way to explore new places, discover hidden gems, and enjoy the outdoors while engaging with a global community of geocachers. New geocaches have been placed not far from the nature center so you will be able to start your geocaching adventure immediately.
