Crochet Club for Tweens & Teens: Stitch & Dig Dinosaurs

This program connects fiber arts to the Summer Learning theme “Underneath a Story” through the fun concept of “Digging Up Dinosaurs.” Youth will learn beginner crochet skills while exploring dinosaur and fossil themes. Crochet is used as a metaphor for discovery, just as fossils are uncovered layer by layer, participants will build their projects row by row, revealing patterns as they go. The session includes a brief educational introduction, guided crochet instruction, and time for independent practice. Learn basic crochet skills and stitches. Create a dinosaur-themed crochet project. Practice sequencing and pattern reading. Build confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills. Encourage youth to explore and check out dinosaur- and crochet-themed books for summer reading.
