Families that homeschool or attend cyberschool are welcome to join us for a three part series on nature journaling. This set of events will guide students through different nature journaling prompts that encourage them to think like a scientist and sharpen their observation skills to learn more about the natural world. Between sessions, students will complete at least one journal entry a week. The last session will be a showcase of the work they completed in their journals. Families who register for this event are agreeing to attend for the dates of September 4th and October 23rd. Friday, September 4th, 1-3pm: Students will receive journals, decorate the covers to make them their own, and then complete journaling prompts as well as share their entries with other students. Parents will be sent information on how to download a digital copy of How to Teach Nature Journaling by John Muir Laws and Emilie Lygren to help guide their students at home.
