In the mid-1800s in Japan, fishermen created "Gyotaku" prints to record their prized catches by pressing rice paper onto a fish covered with ink or paint. “Gyotaku” (guy-yo-tah-koo) or ink fish printing was originally a method of counting how many fish a fisherperson caught. Try your hand at this ancient artform with help from our wonderful volunteers. Paper, bandanas, and all supplies will be available; bring a T-shirt if you would like to print one. This is a drop-in program. All ages welcome! No experience required. Meet at the Park Bathhouse near parking lot P6. The Bathhouse has flush toilets, changing areas and a drinking fountain. This location is not open to dogs. A Vehicle Admission pass is required and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival. This event will be held rain or shine.Group/Program Hosting: Kohler-Andrae State ParkEvent Location: Kohler-Andrae State Park 1020 Beach Park Lane, Sheboygan, WI 53081 - BathhouseEvent Contact: Phyllis McKenzie, Phyllis
