Constellation Exploration

Look to the stars without ever leaving the library during our week-long Constellation Walk! Pick up a worksheet and pencil at the front desk, then explore the library in search of constellations hidden throughout the building. As you discover each constellation, draw it or write down a fact you learned along the way. Once you’ve completed the activity, return your sheet to the front desk to earn a prize! Each constellation display will include fun facts about its shape, mythology, and the best time of year to spot it in the night sky. This self-guided activity is a fun way for kids and families to learn more about astronomy while celebrating the clear summer skies and the wonders of space.
