Canoe Meadows Hike

Join us for the Canoe Meadows Hike, a delightful stroll through the Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary. Please meet the van at Millhouse Court 10 minutes before the program starts. Closed-toed shoes are required, and it's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and water. The hike features flat, meandering trails along the Housatonic River, leading through open fields and vibrant wetlands teeming with singing birds, turtles, blue herons, and beavers. Enjoy the scenic beauty as we also venture along an old carriage road shaded by tall hemlocks that provide shelter for hoot owls.
