In summer it's great to be outdoors, but insect-borne illness is a rising concern. Join us to hear KDHE's Public Health Entomologist Elizabeth Smith discuss life cycles and ecology of ticks and mosquitos; and Dr. Erin Petro, the State Public Health Veterinarian, discuss tick and mosquito-borne illness. Ticks and mosquitos are out there these summer days.  Learn how to identify them, keep them away from you, remove them or treat yourself if they bite, and what follow up is necessary.  There will be time for Q and A.  Be prepared -- not scared. Registration required.
