Help Wanted: Catholic Charities of NE Kansas

All retirees are rich in the same precious asset: time. Join us for an in-depth discussion of a local organization or non-profit looking for volunteers. We'll hear from someone within the organization AND from one or two retirees who are currently volunteering. Learn all about it -- from both sides. Presented online -- ZOOM format. This month we'll hear from Amy Stock, Volunteer Coordinator for Catholic Charities of Kansas.  Amy will discuss volunteer opportunities at the Family Support Center at 1525 W. 6th Street in Lawrence.  Help is needed with the Food Pantry and the Front Desk.  They also have a robust English Language Tutoring Program, Digital Navigation tutoring, and a Workforce Development Program (GED prep and Resume and Interviewing Skills).  Where might you fit in?  And NO -- you don't have to be Catholic!
