Plants of the Appalachian Trail

Dr. Kristen Wickert, a forestry professor at the nearby Penn State Mont Alto forestry school, will be giving a 40-minute presentation about common trees, shrubs, plants and mushrooms along the Appalachian Trail near Pine Grove Furnace State Park. She will cover multiple species and their interesting natural history that she covers in her recent field guide "Plants of the Appalachian Trail".
