WILD About Bats

WILD About Bats is an engaging Project WILD teacher workshop focused on bat ecology, conservation, and classroom connections. This workshop is hosted by Pennsylvania Game Commission and PA State Parks staff. Thursday, July 30 from 3 to 9 PM Friday, July 31 from 10 AM to Noon K-12 educators will experience hands-on field activities including mist netting demonstrations, acoustic bat monitoring, FLIR thermal imaging, and observation of bat gates used to protect important roosting habitats. Participants will receive a Project WILD curriculum guide packed with interdisciplinary lessons and activities to bring bat (wildlife) science into their classrooms. 9.5 Act 48 Hours are available. $15 per person. Space is limited and registration is required.
