Join us for an exciting outdoor adventure combining exploration and discovery at Point State Park with our GPS Scavenger Hunt and the Botanical Treasures of Jacobsburg program. Begin with the GPS Scavenger Hunt, where you'll learn to use a handheld GPS unit to uncover the park's hidden historical and natural features, guided by technology. Start at the Fort Pitt Museum entrance—remember to bring a government ID! Then, delve into the beauty of Jacobsburg as we embark on a moderate hike in search of late-summer blooms. Be prepared for some muddy slopes and uphill climbs; sturdy shoes and water are essential. This part of the event is ideal for families with kids aged 8 and up, and registration is required for all participants, as space is limited to 20 attendees.
