Summer Storybook Stroll

Join us for the Summer Storybook Stroll this July and August 2026, a delightful self-guided event perfect for families! This charming stroll, suitable for little feet and strollers, begins at the end of Landis Road. Follow the ½ mile paved trail to the lake, where you can enjoy pages from the featured book “A Chip Off the Old Block” by Jody Jensen Shaffer, telling the story of Rocky, a determined pebble seeking his place among famous rock relatives. Additionally, immerse yourself in nature with our Storywalk on the Watershed trail at Kings Gap Hollow Area, featuring “Thomas Jefferson and the Mammoth Hunt” by Carrie Clickard. Don’t forget to sign the Visitor Booklet or guestbook at the end of your walk and share your thoughts before leaving!
